Working with the Value Over Time Chart
The Value Over Time chart is a chart of the performance of the Portfolio and Time Period Investments (market value plus deposits and less withdrawals) value for a selected time period.

Viewing the Value Over Time Chart
The system plots two lines in the Value Over Time Chart as described below.

Portfolio Value line: indicates the market value, at the selected time, for the accounts in your portfolio. When time period of Previous Year or Custom Date, if end date is not today or yesterday, is selected accounts held outside of LPL will not be reflected.

Time Period Investment line: indicates the market value at the start of the selected time period plus deposits and less withdrawals. When the time period of Since Inception is selected this number represents your net invested dollars (deposits less withdrawals).
